PIRAVOM POLL ON MARCH 17
Thiruvananthapuram: Piravom Bypoll advanced to March 17, 2012. It is decided at an all party meeting convened by Chief Electoral Officer Nalini Netto on Wednesday.
All the political parties, barring the Bahujan Samaj Party, had urged the Election Commission for the change of by-election date from Sunday to Saturday, 17th March, 2012.
Following this, the State Government decided to postpone the higher secondary examination, scheduled on March 17 to 26.
