THREE OF A FAMILY HELD FOR ROBBERY

Alappuzha: Three members of a famikly including a young couple, accused in numerous temple and jewellery theft cases in four districts, were arrested by Ambalapuzha Police on Wednesday.

They arrested Raveendran (4) of Mangalapuram, Trivandrum, his son Ayyappan (23) and daughter-in-law Lakshmi (20).

As was the Police, Ayyappan started theft with the support of his father when he was a 13 year old boy. He had been an inmate of Juvenile Home Poojappura, Kollam District jails and Kottarakkara, Attingal and Alappuzha Sub jails. Two years ago he married lakshmi  and she too soon became an active member of their team.
