BJP WILL BACK APJ ABDUL KALAM FOR PRESIDENT

BJP against Congress names, ready to back Kalam. BJP, opposed Congress's bid for a consensus oveer the Presidential elections, saying that it would not support any Congress candidate, but reached out to the non UPA players for an understanding. 

"We will not accept any Congress candidate, including P:ranabMukherjee, for the Presendent's post" Sushma Swaraj, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said.

The BJP leader said that the party would support former predisent A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM if his candidature was endorsed by Samajwadi party which after the landslide win in Uttar Pradesh has emerged  a crucial swing factor in the contest to decide who gets to succeed Pratibha Patil
