WE HAVE KILLED FOES, CPM NOT SCARE TO OWN IT : MANI
Kottayam: " Yes, we have killed the enemies of CPM. We have shot, stabbed and beaten them to death. A hit list of party enemies was prepared and each of them was executed in that order."
This statement, which dares the basic principles of democracy, was made by MM Mani, CPM Idukki district secretaryand a close confidant of CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, at Manakkad in Idukki on Friday night.
Addressing a public meeting organised to explain the CPM's stand on the murder of TP Chandrasekharan, Mani claimed that the CPM would never hesitate to kill political rivals and it will continue to eliminate them in future also.
The comments of Mani, which left the CPM with egg on its face, soon became a huge debate with the videoclips making it to social sites to further dent the image of the party. Mani's statements come at a time when the party is struggling hard to save itself from the embarrassment of senior leaders landing in jail for their alleged role in the conspiracy to kill Chandrasekharan.
