HIKE IN POWER TARIFF MOOTED
As the monsoon continues to play truant, the government and the KSEB are mulling power restrictions and a hike in power tariff to tide over the crisis.
The board is heavily dependent on power from the central pool and power traders as the water levels in all major reservoirs hit rock bottom.
For the first time power generation from hydel stations has dipped to a mere 10 mu per day. Earlier the board was generating 20 to 23 mu per day.
