Asian Games gold medalist Preeja Sreedharan's Olympic dreams came crashing down after she failed to make the cut of London in the 10,000 m at the FIDAL Piedmount Track Meeting in Santhia, Italy.
Preeja's compatriot Kavita Raut also failed to achieve the Olympic qualifying standard in the race held on Saturday.
In their last qualification attempt before the July 8 deadline, both Preeja and Kavita had to abandon the race after 6,000m as they failed to chase the target time.
