LAW STUDENT GANG-RAPED ON BANGALORE CAMPUS
BANGALORE: A 21- year old South Asian Student of National Law School of India University 9NLSIU) was gang raped by a group of seven to eight men on the adjacent Jnanabharathi campus of Bangalore University on Saturday night.
The victim is a second year LLB student and was staying at the NLSIU women's hostel. She was with a male friend, an employee with an IT major; in his white Volkswagen Polo in a forest area, about 2km from the varsity's Centre for Gandhian Studies, when she was sexually assaulted.
As per the victim, the Kannada speaking gangsters came on foot and broke the windshield of the parked car with iron rods. They asked the duo to get out of the car. they hit the boy repeatedly on his face and took the due deeper into the forest area. One of the attackers asked the due to hand over the valuables. When the frightened boy told them his wallet was in the car, they asked him to get it.
As the boy walked back to his car, the men dragged the girl further into the woods,
