TOYOTA TO RECALL 8700 CARS IN INDIA
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday said it is recalling select models of its Corolla Altis and Camry cars to inspect the power window master switch (PWMS).
Toyota also recalled 7.43 million vehicles globally. TKM said it will recall Corolla Altis manufactured between July 30, 2008, and December 31, 2008, and Camry made between September 1, 2006 and July 1, 2008 on a voluntary basis.
TKM will recall 8700 vehicles in India to inspect the PWMS. on certain Corolla Altis and Camry models of the specified years, the PWMS may begin to feel notchy or become inoperative, the company said.
