Friends,

One of my friend Mr. Dileep sent me a voice message today, which has been received by him from Malayalam Cine Director ............

As per Mr. Saji, he got  mobile calls on yesterday night from both these numbers, asking the details of his SBI / SBT Credit / Debit Cards. The caller have his card nos, name and other details printed behind the card.

The caller confirmed all these information are correct and told him that he will get an sms on disconnecting the call, which contains an OTP No. They asked him to call back and tell them the OTP number he received on his mobile. So that they can enhance his credit facilities on the said SBT/SBI card.

Mr. Saji was little bit doubtful and called one of his friend, who is a Branch Manager of  SBI. As per the Manager, these types of calls are widely receiving and SBT / SBI not authorized anybody to confirm the KYC details of a customer. OTP means one time password and if it has been given to them, they are at ease to transfer or withdraw cash from the card immediately. Manager also said that, nobody, even cyber cell could not identify the caller, till date. On google search, it is found that several customer complaints has been made about these numbers in various forums.

On receiving this message, i just tried these numbers and find out that first number is delivered from West Bengal and the second one is from Jharkhand and both are still in use.

As per SBT/ SBI officials, nobody, even bank officials will not call you to have such KYC details. Do not reply to any calls / whatsapp messages / messenger messages regarding credit/ debit cards.

You are requested not to speak out/ hand over your debit/credit card details to anybody. Banks have there own solution to correct it.

Beware !
