High cholesterol Level Among Keralites : A Study Kochi: A study presented at the recent World Diabetology Congress in Kochi warned that high levels of Cholesterol was being reported among the Keralite population in its productive years. The study, titled ‘Very High Levels of Untreated Cholesterol in Kerala Population’ was conducted by Diabscreen Kerala. “Our literacy is turning out to be a curse as most people are not treating cholesterol. They do not adhere to be strict diet or change their lifestyle. We surveyed a population of 10000 across the state through 400 camps and found that most people had discontinued their medicine once their cholesterol levels came down. They did not continue their diet or exercise”, said Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, who presented the study at the conference. HUNT ON FOR ONE MORE SUSPECT IN DELHI CHILD RAPE CASE In a twist to the brutal rape of the five year old girl at Gandhi nagar, Delhi, the Delhi Police on Sunday said that they were looking for one more suspect.  Earlier, they denied the role of anyone other than Manoj Sah, who was arrested in Muzaffarpur on Saturday, in the incident. They had even issued a statement on Sunday dismissing as "rumours" reports about the involvement of one more person in the case. But in the evening, a senior police officer conceded that they were looking for one more suspect. Sources said Manoj had told the police that one of his friends was also present in the house and it was his friend who had raped the girl. the police officer said it was being probed whether the second suspect was involved in the rape or helped Major flee the Capital. Meanwhile, widespread protests, mostly by political parties, against the brutal rape continued for the third consecutive day on Sunday.

SANJAY DUTT GETS FOUR WEEKS' RESPITE New Delhi: Sanjay Dutt on Wednesday successfully invoked the Supreme Court's mercy to get a four week extension of his surrender deadline even as three of his fellow convicts will have to go back to jail on Thursday. Dutt was directed by the apex-court, which upheld his conviction under Arms Act for possessing illegal weapons, to surrender by April 18 to serve out the remaining three and a half years of his five year jail term but he pleaded for mercy saying he needed six months to complete his shooting assignments for seven films with Rs.278 crore riding on them. A bench of Justices P. Sathasivam and B.S.
