CENTRE TO DECIDE ON KUTTANAD SCHEME IN 2 WEEKS Kochi: The Centre on Monday agreed to take a decision on the Rs.424 Crore integrated water supply scheme for Kuttanad within two weeks of time. This assurance was given by Union Minister for Rural Development during a meeting with Kerala Water Resources Minister P.J. Joseph. 54 NABBED IN THREE DAYS ANTI TIPPLER DRIVE Thiruvananthapuram: The state wide drive of Railway Protection Force to catch tipplers on trains and railway platforms which was formally launched on Thursday continued on Friday with full vigour. A total of 54 passengers were nabbed by Railway Protection Force in the state through inspection drives conducted so far. Among them 44 are from Thiruvananthapuram and 10 from palakkad division. K.J. Joy, Commissioner of RPF, Thiruvananthapuram Division officially lanuched the drive. Every RPF station in the state is equipped with a breath analyzer each, to carry out the inspection.
